Pre-requisites to commencing specialty training

Completion of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians Basic Physician Training program

Current registration as a medical practitioner in Australia or New Zealand

Current employment in a hospital accredited by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians for training in adult internal medicine

How to apply to train in specialty

Apply online to register with the college

You must also secure employment as a Junior Medical Officer with NSW Health
